The Blacksmith museum D'OALE SMEDERIE likes to welcome the opportunity to give guided tours to groups and to educate people about the ancient craftsmanship of Blacksmithing.

At the foreign travellers agency, phone number (+31) 548 654848 you are invited to obtain further information on our museum.  They can also tell you more about the picturesque city of Hellendoorn and the activities that may take place in the region, so you may plan your visit in advance.


The museum is open from mid May to mid September on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am - noon and from 2pm - 4pm.

Larger groups are invited to make arrangements during the off-season and outside regular opening times.

The Blacksmith museum D'OALE SMEDERIE (Nr. 2) is located along side the so-called "goa-pad", a very nice route that will take you past all kinds of quaint houses and historic sites in the city of  Hellendoorn.

The foundation is supported by "guild-members" and we would really like to welcome you as our new member also! You may enroll with Dick van der Riet who will also inform you of the usual conditions.

Upon request, the blacksmiths working in our museum may also perform customized orders.
